This placement increases air flow and uses aerodynamics to pull air through the core, but it also makes the stock cooler vulnerable to scrapes, bumps, and other road hazards. --With this in mind, the engineers at Mishimoto set out to design a robust G8X oil cooler to keep your M3 or M4 running cool on and off the track. We started by swapping the stock tube-and-fin cooler for a bar-and-plate with CNC-machined end tanks. Our cooler boasts a 35.7-percent thicker core and a 41-percent increase in core volume for superior cooling efficiency.
