CSF has mastered the charge-air cooling system and offers the Ultimate High-Performance All-Aluminum Heat Exchanger for the Mercedes Benz AMG 5.5L V8 bi-turbo engine. This AMG V8 utilizes a charge air cooler system ? a water circuit (which flows through a pump into the charge coolers) and a heat exchanger (which uses the water to cool the compressed air). CSF?s High-Performance Heat Exchanger is larger and cools the water more efficiently than the OEM plastic/aluminum unit.Upgrading to a larger, more efficient Heat Exchanger greatly affects the rest of the charge-air cooling system ? lowering Intake Air Temperatures (IATs), thus creating cooler, denser air for increased power and an improvement in heat soak reduction.The Heat Exchanger also fits several of the 6.3L V8 AMG and 6.0L V12 AMG models as an auxiliary radiator.
