This batch is a "presale". Once 10 sell at the 559 price we will change the price back to normal. These will not ship right away. This batch has not been manufacturered yet. We have done 4 batches of 30 over the last couple years and are looking to start another, but want to get a committment for 10 sets first. If 10 sets do not sell by the end of 2024 these pre-orders will be refunded.

The batches are 30 gears, so when the stock number hits 20 that means everything is a go.

Engine Safety Issues with Stock Oil Pump Gears

The OEM oil pump gears have a tendency to shatter at high rpm and/or high power. This will instantly ruin your engine from lack of oil pressure, requiring a full rebuild and thousands of dollars worth of repair.

OEM Oil Pump Availability

The 2nd generation 93+ Stealth and 3000GT 6G72 oil pump assemblies have been discontinued by Mitsubishi, so the only available pumps are New Old Stock and they will not last. When you rebuild your engine it is a must to inspect and replace your old oil pump as needed. With these new gears available you may be able to re-use your old pump housing and just replace the gears.

Our optional 4 bolt oil pump will fit 93+ DOHC engines.

Optional 4 bolt oil pump housing now includes new TT spring installed

Billet Oil Pump Gears

We are proud to say these gears are made by Italo Grasso and not by a newcomer to the platform or industry. The gears are tried and proven to work in cars exceeding 1000AWHP and 9000 RPM. They are CMM inspected and you need not worry about dimensional issues or cavitation caused by poor gear manufacturing.

These are many times strong than the stock gears and will save your engine. We have limited stock and these are often not made more than once a year.

Torque rear cover to 7 ft/lbs and blue loctite. You may also sparingly use Anerobic sealant (not RTV) where the case cover meets the housing.

To the best of our knowledge these fit all DOHC engines, 2 bolt or 4, but to help confirm fitment for your application here is a rough nominal measurement:

Installation Guide

Review the linked factory specifications.

Remove the screws from the back of your pump (use a #3 philips if available or the slightly better fitting JIS driver.

You will be presented with the original gears, pull them out.

Install the new R’VENGE Italo Grasso Billet Gears, coat them in assembly lube on all surfaces.

Measure tip clearance. Review manual for accepted values, but typically .001″.

Measure outside clearance, expect .002″ to .004″

Measure side clearance by putting the side cover over the gear. Expect around .001″.

Per the legend Ray Pampena we use a little bit of anaerobic sealant on the side cover mating service, so there is no way air can be drawn in.

Torque the cover bolts to 7 ft/lbs with a dab of blue loctite on each. Record the measurements down on the side cover with paint marker, so you may check for wear later. The reason we paint on the cover is there is no way to lose it later like a piece of paper or something digital, but you can do both.

Swap the relieve spring from the TT pump you had into this one and torque that gold nut to 30 ft/bs.
